Day 7 - Say Cheese!

(DAN THINKS MY PICTURE SHOULD BE IN MY BLOG...)

Today was cheese day at the Kittleson home.  9 gallons of milk turned into 9 pounds of Manchego and 4 pounds of whey ricotta. We use to think we wanted to sell cheese, but after doing the labor math, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.  6 hours in milking + 5 hours of cheese making.  Oh, and then there's the marketing/packaging/distributing part.   No loss, though, as we eat cheese like a herd of mice in this house.   Mmmmm... fresh cheese curds!
